Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of voicing the top of a 4 5/8" deep OM, w/ Cedar top, EIR B&S.  The braces are 1/4" X 9/16" all around in a standard pattern.

At this point, the braces are all flat topped, and triangular in profile.

So, what would you do in this position?  The possibilities are wide open.

Scallop, parabola or leave them flat?

One more consideration would be that the instrument will primarily be used to play fingerstyle.  I've been playing on a sitka/mahogany OM with scalloped braces and I really like the projection but would like some more bottom end.  That is why the cedar and deeper body were chosen.

I'm very curious to see what the experts have to say.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts,

Dave
